PHILIPP HANDLER
Swiss Paralympic Athlete
Philipp Handler is a two-time Paralympian having participated in the London 2012 and the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and is now in preparation for and with ambition to participate in the Tokyo 2020 Games. Philipp
was born in New York 1991 with an autosomal recessive congenital condition called Achromatopsia. This condition leaves him with complete colorblindness, photophobia and a low visual acuity. After moving to Switzerland at the age of 5 he went through the school system and in the fall of 2016 graduated from the University of Zurich with a Master Degree in Economics. Currently he is working in the insurance industry
and teaches courses in Handicap sports to further spread awareness.
