9th Annual
BRG Professional Development &
Leadership Summit

When it comes to your company’s Disability BRG, do you tend to Follow, Influence, Lead and/or Learn?  Perhaps you do all of these things in order to successfully achieve your mission.  The question is when, how and for what purpose.

Springboard’s 2019 Disability BRG Leadership Development Summit will explore each of these topics on both the group level and the individual leadership level.  How BRG’s and their leaders engage with their members, members of other BRG’s, their colleagues, company leadership, external constituencies, etc., will determine the success of the individual leader and the group.

The questions listed under each of these topics on the agenda are just a Springboard to a deeper dive into each of the four topics.  As a result of these discussions, challenges may emerge that as a group we will frame into How Might We questions.  This will provide a framework for us to discover innovative solutions that each of us can take back to our respective BRGs.

Follow

Do you find your BRG tends to follow the practices of other BRG’s or vice-versa?  Is your group proactive or reactive to external issues, actions or interests?  As leaders of a group whose issues are often very personal, do you tend to follow your head or your heart?  Do you follow a strict set of protocols, a business plan or does the group operate in a more unstructured way? These questions are just a Springboard to a deeper dive into this particular issue.  As a result, challenges may emerge that as a group we will frame into a How Might We question in order to discover innovative solutions.

If not, whose role is it?
