Inclusion should not be considered a part-time or full-time job. It should also not be thought of as a nice-to-have; where employees only get to think about it in their spare time, or when they are forced to as a result of an inclusion-related issue that arises. “Disability” inclusion is no different. So, what does that mean for our Disability Business Resource Group Leaders and their leadership teams?

When addressing issues of disclosure and/or accommodations, managers often see problems where Disability BRG members see possibilities?

How do our Disability BRG Leaders and leadership teams navigate the waters of obstacle to opportunity?

Although the “R” in resource group is important, whether a company refers to its group as an Employee, Colleague or Business Resource Group; Springboard believes the power of these groups is in the impact they make. As a result, Springboard has coined the term DBIG (Disability Business Impact Group). Should this change the way the groups leaders should think and act? If so, how?

These are just some of the topics that will be addressed at Springboard’s 2020 Disability BRG Leadership Development Summit. As always, will explore these issues on both the group level and the individual leadership level.

Join us on Tuesday, April 21, 2019 and positively impact your DBIG.
