The Ninth Annual Disability Matters North America Conference & Awards

When: April 14-16, 2015
Where: Simmons College, Boston, Massachusetts

Springboard Consulting, LLC is pleased to welcome you to the Ninth Annual Disability Matters North America Conference & Awards. This most important corporate event will host a welcome reception, two full two-days of content and the highly celebrated awards dinner.

As in prior years, our conference will feature outstanding content as delivered by leading disability experts from corporations, academia, national non-profits and governments across North America.  There will be amazing, inspirational stories as shared by our keynote presenters. A highlight of every year’s event is the sharing of our honorees award-winning practices related to the successful mainstreaming of people who either have a disability or have a child or other dependent with special needs in the workforce, workplace and marketplace.

As in prior years, honoree categories include:

Workforce –  This award is in consideration of a company’s programs/initiatives that touch on recruiting, training, reasonable accommodations and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Workplace –  This award is in consideration of a company’s programs/initiatives that touch on Disability Employee Resource Groups, Mentor Programs, Etiquette & Awareness Initiatives, the delivery/dissemination of educational Information and resources and company-wide celebratory events.

Marketplace –  This award is in consideration of a company’s programs/initiatives that focus on the marketing of products and/or services (mainstream and targeted) to the disability community.

Steps to Success – The Steps to Success award seeks to identify and celebrate those companies who are beginning on the journey of innovation, action and transformation relative to individuals with disabilities whether as employees, customers or both. This award also seeks to encourage these honorees whose initiative(s) have been in place no less than six months and no more than two years and who demonstrate significant promise of long term success, to have the commitment and perseverance to continue taking the steps necessary to eventually become a Disability Matters Employer or Supplier of Choice, the most prestigious of all Disability Matters Awards.

Disability Champion – recognizing a corporate executive, manager or associate whose advocacy, commitment and action in support of mainstreaming disability in their workforce, workplace and/or marketplace has greatly contributed to their organization’s success.

Employer of Choice – in consideration of companies that have taken their prior Disability Matters award-winning initiatives to a level providing complete synergy between mission and achievement.

Please join us and our Host Sponsor, EMC Corporation as we Celebrate, Educate, Inspireand Network.

We look forward to your participation in the 2015 Disability Matters North America Conference & Awards and are confident it will help you see that disability-focused initiatives — whether in the workplace, workforce, or marketplace — are not just a strategic advantage, but a business imperative.
