ADA Blog #137 (Part 1 of 2)

An #applicant, who has a hearing impairment, applies for a cooker position with a fast food restaurant. His qualifications include experience in the fast food industry, previously working for a fast food hamburger franchise for over two years. After successfully interviewing with the shift manager, he attempts to complete the interview process by interviewing with the general manager via the state’s “#Relay”, a telephone system used by people with hearing & speech impairments. During the #Relay call he was told by the general manager that "there is really no place for someone we cannot communicate with."

Is this #unlawfuldiscrimination under the #ADA? What do you think?
