The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a Federal tax credit for private-sector businesses that helps incentivize workplace diversity and facilitate access to good jobs for American workers, especially unemployed veterans with disabilities who consistently face significant barriers to employment. Employers can receive up to $4,800 tax credit for each new disabled veteran hire. This tax credit will expire on Dec. 31, 2011 (unless reauthorized). Reduce your company’s federal income tax liability but making sure your recruitment efforts reach potential unemployed veterans with disabilities.
