A research study called, Workplace Accommodations: Low Cost, High Impact, conducted by JAN last year found when making reasonable accommodations:
• 56% of U.S. employers surveyed had zero accommodation cost
• 37% typically incurred a one-time expenditure of approximately $600 to accommodate an employee with a disability.
• For every $1 spend on an accommodation, participating companies realized more than $10 in benefits.
With the final EEOC regulations in place relative to the ADAAA and its’ focus on accommodations, these findings are more important than ever.
