The mission of the National Organization on Disability (N.O.D.) is to expand the participation and contribution of America's 54 million men, women and children with disabilities in all aspects of life. By raising disability awareness through programs and information, together we can work toward closing the participation gaps.

One of only three national "cross disability" organizations, NOD has earned a reputation for its work as advocate, program developer and provider of the field's most important research on the status of Americans with disabilities. Based in Washington DC, NOD works in partnership with international, national and local organizations including the United Nations; state and local governments; faith-based groups and religious congregations; and national and local officials.
