OFCCP Moves Closer to Finalizing Game-Changing Regulations for Individuals with Disabilities and Veterans

ATTENTION ALL #U.S. #FEDERAL #CONTRACTORS!
On July 31, 2013, the #Office of #Federal #Contract #Compliance #Programs (“#OFCCP”) submitted to the #Office of #Management and #Budget (“#OMB”) for approval, its final regulations for individuals with #disabilities under #Section #503 of the #Rehabilitation #Act.  This comes on the heels of OFCCP submitting the final regulations for covered #veterans under the #Vietnam #Era #Veterans #Readjustment #Assistance #Act (“#VEVRAA”) to OMB just the day before.  OMB will now have sixty (60) days to approve or reject these final regulations.  If passed in their final form, these regulations will be game-changing for federal contractors and subcontractors.

Now that the new #Department of #Labor #Secretary #Perez has been confirmed, when approved, the OFCCP will move very quickly to put these regulations into action.  As always, #Springboard will keep you up to date on any new developments.
With these final regulations most likely just around the corner, I strongly suggest we schedule a phone meeting to discuss strategy and anticipated steps required of you and your colleagues.  Please email me directly at nadine@consultspringboard.com to schedule this
most important call.
