Do Google Apps discriminate against the blind?

Yes, say Northwestern University students who are blind and state that the Google Apps do not effectively turn text into speech or Braille. In fact, a complaint was filed by the National Federation of the Blind with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, asking the University to stop using these Apps. I have yet to hear what the University’s response is but Google has already met with the National Federation of the Blind and has made a commitment to improving their products to meet the needs of this community.
